Will I get burnt?
No firewalk seminar plans getting burned as part of the event. Assuming that you are not under the influence of alcohol or anything that will affect you judgment, and assuming that you follow instructions there is little probability of your getting burned. You will be given enough tools to make your own judgment as to whether you can safely walk.
How hot are the coals?
The temperature of the coals varies depending on weather conditions and the type of wood used. Coals have been measured as high as 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. Even if they are cooled to say 1,000 degrees it is still 4 times hotter than most ovens get.
Why should I do it?
People walk for a whole varity of different reasons, some to find out what the "trick" is, some for a great pub story, some because it sounds like a great thing to do. What most reasons have in common is that people use the Firewalk as a metaphor for overcoming fear.
Fear is the fundamental obstacle that everyone has in their quest for personal growth, fear in all it's guises creates the limits we surround ourselves with. Learning to recognise how to overcome and control fear opens up a whole new world for a lot of people. Ask yourself this one question "What would you do if you knew you could not fail?"
Do I have to do it?
Your attendance in no ways compels you to walk. Some people enjoy taking the lessons from the seminar and decided they don't need the challenge.
No pressure is applied to anyone at all, your firewalk experience will be your firewalk experience alone, it will not be created or forced upon you by our instructors or by your colleagues / friends.
Can I just come and watch?
People turn up all the time to support and encourage friends and end up joining in the firewalk themselves. Firewalking is not a spectator sport, it is for many a deeply personal experience, and experience many people would like to share with someone who is going through the same thing to just watching and observing.
Remember, attending the seminar in no ways compels anyone to walk, if you do decided to watch others achieving their goals, encourage and support them in whatever way they tell you they need it.
